Mid-length kimono made from upcycled cotton/linen tablecloth, lined with quilted thermal fabric. Fastens at the front with a hook and a belt in the same cotton/linen material. The belt is held by leather belt loops, the same leather used for the front pocket. The color shimmers between dark blue and black.
Plumbum is a one-woman show created in 2021 by textile designer Sisse Prag. She handles every part of the process, from hunting for textiles to designing and creating the final piece on her sewing machine. She focuses on upcycling and zero waste, primarily using secondhand and remnant textiles. The design process is intuitive and experimental, often without using patterns. All designs are therefore unique and handmade.
